Resident In Counseling

Erin Godshall

LMHP-R

I understand that discussing the symptoms of mental health challenges can be overwhelming. Whether you're grappling with anxiety, depression, stress, shame, or anger, I want you to know that your feelings are valid and deserving of attention. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, providing a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your emotions.

Using a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, I aim to help you make connections between your emotions, thoughts, actions, and past experiences. Your journey is unique, and you define what progress means to you. My goal is to support you in moving towards meaningful and positive changes in your life.

I am passionate about working with adults, teens, and couples. I believe in creating an inclusive and affirming space where all identities and experiences are respected and celebrated.

While I draw upon evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I understand that each person's healing journey is distinct. I tailor my methods to address the most relevant aspects of your individual needs. Having previously worked in an outpatient hospital setting, I have gained valuable experience in assisting others in finding effective strategies for grounding, mindfulness, and cognitive reframing.

My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and communication. I strive to create a flexible environment that accommodates your needs and goals. Together, we will foster positive changes and create a path towards healing and growth.
